NGOs poked holes into the police vetting exercise.
The National Police Service Commission has denied claims that it has not been doing a thorough job probing officers who come before it during police vetting. Earlier today, the Police Reforms Working group had faulted the exercise, accusing the commission of concentrating more on probing finances, while leaving out critical questions of integrity and human rights, professionalism and competence The group alleges poor questioning by vetting team.
